Minimum Requirements
  • A First Degree from a recognized University in any one of the following: Business Administration, Social Science, Commerce, Economics
  • Must have at least 5 years hands on Sales and/or Marketing experience 
  • Must have at least 3 years Management experience
  • Must have a favourable understanding of the advertising and the FMCG industry
  • Computer Literate – Advanced PowerPoint & Excel

Key Tasks and  Responsibilities
  • To open a new market in Kampala, promoting the JCDecaux Uganda brand to substantially increase client base 
  • Driving new business to surpass individual targets for revenue, profitability and sustainable long-term sales growth
  • Increasing business opportunities through various routes to market including internal/external marketing/network/PR opportunities
  • To work internally promoting national & regional sales in Uganda through the Africa Sales Team in South Africa
  • Accurately report on sales activity and forecasts, through bespoke reporting systems and excel
  • Actively track sales movements of competitor’s products and marketing activities through market intelligence and report to Country Manager
  • To manage and turnaround any challenging issues to the business
  • Manage Rate Negotiation
  • Deliver presentations at all levels
  • Deal with day- to- day issues with the Branch and head office on all sales related issues and reports
  • Facilitate monthly provision of photo-checks for JCDecaux sites within his/her jurisdiction

  • Must be a mature and passionate sales and/or marketing individual
  • Must be Results driven
  • An excellent communicator with very strong interpersonal skills
  • A decision- maker with the ability to work under extreme pressure
  • Ability to work on own with continual motivation and excellent time management
  • Must be hands on and able to close deals 
  • Must have the ability and demeanour to interact with Clients at all levels, one on one and in group meetings
  • Must be computer literate. (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook) Must be prepared to travel when the need arises
